The month usually begins with my Moms birthday on the 10th. Keagan, Tyler, Carol, Matt, and I celebrated at my Mom's house with some dinner and gifts. Nothing crazy, as Mom really doesn't like to celebrate getting older. I don't think of it as her getting another year older, but another year we are all able to share our lives with her!!!
Next up is Carol and I's birthday!! This is the last year that we get to say that we are 20 something. :( Matt was working, so Carol, Mom, Tyler, Keagan, and I went to The Macaroni Grill and had a great dinner filled with laughter and great memories.. That was just the beginning of celebrating my birthday! Mark and Tricia came up to our house later that week to take me to my favorite restaurant, the Geisha House! Keagan really enjoyed watching the chef work his magic, and thanks to Mark who always has his camera, I have some great photos to document the evening.

Matt and I were very excited for Halloween this year, due to the fact the Keagan is now old enough to dress up and go trick or treating. I think Matt was really excited to be able to steal Keagan's candy. Our first stop on the Halloween train was of course the pumpkin patch. I thought Keagan was going to be able to go on some of the rides there, but he was still too small. He did however enjoy his first carnival game and was able to win a prize that did not stay inflated very long. Keagan's favorite part of the pumpkin patch was the mini petting zoo. He was able to pet and feed a goat, and chase some chickens around. You can't go to a pumpkin patch and not get a pumpkin right? Right, Keagan picked out the best pumpkin of all!!! We took the pumpkin over to Carol's house the next day and attempted to paint a face on it. Keagan really wanted to see what the paint tasted like, so, his pumpkin was left a little bare.
Painting pumpkins was a great transition into our god daughter Kaija's birthday party, which was the day before Halloween and was a costume party. Keagan was a monkey for Halloween, but when I tried the costume on him his mobility was affected. Not to worry, I had a back up gifted to us by our family in England. For the party Keagan was a soccer player from the winning team of the World Cup!!! He was definitely the most handsome Soccer player ever.
After partying the night away drinking juice and eating lollipops, Keagan was ready for trick or treating on Halloween night. He was extra excited when he saw his Uncle Chris walk in the door!!! Chris came over to trick or treat with his favorite nephew, and Keagan took advantage of his wagon pulling skills. Chris, Matt, Keagan, and I walked all around our neighborhood trick or treating with all the other ghouls and goblins, and even enjoyed passing out candy while checking out all the scary costumes kids were wearing. I really thought Keagan was not going to keep his costume on the entire night, but he was too busy watching all the other kids to worry about what he was wearing. In fact, the next morning Keagan was in his PJ's asking to put on his costume again. He wore his monkey suit for 3 days after Halloween.
